Director, Patient and Community Education Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center CAROLINA WELL COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD Carolina Well is proud to have a community advisory board. The mission of this board is to represent the needs of cancer survivors in North Carolina, and to advocate for survivors and caregivers. The CAB is made up of cancer survivors, caregivers, representatives from the three Carolina Well community-based centers, representatives of agencies that serve cancer patients and survivors, and members of the Carolina Well team at UNC. The CAB meets three times per year to provide guidance and advice to the Carolina Well team. The CAB has participated in focus groups, assisted with the development of the program name, logo and website, and the development of survivorship materials. This board will continue to play a central role in the development of several new cancer survivorship initiatives in North Carolina. |
